Selaspeed Actuator Components

We remove the unit from the car and strip the components from the actuator to clean and test them prior to rebuilding the unit. We then check them on a test vehicle to ensure that the reconditioned unit works correctly.

So if you have a fault with your Alfa Romeo Selaspeed, bring your car to us to have it tested. The problem could be a programme fault, a switch fault or alternaively, the clutch plunger may need adjusting. We will test your vehicle with our specialist Alfa Romeo Laptop computer which assist us in diagnosing problems and deciding on what work is required. We will drain the gearbox oil to check if there are any problems in the gearbox.

There are a number of different problems that could occur with the Selaspeed system including Actuator faults, gearbox faults, clutch faults, speedsensor faults, speedsensors, switches, gear shifts and body computers. A specialist Alfa Romeo laptop computer is essential for diagnosing these problems.

Here at Alfaman we have constructed an extended wiring loom to test an actuator/gearebox from one car and use the electronics, computer and controls from a similar car parked 'nose to nose', this helps ius to determine the correct course of actioon to be taken.

We are able to supply re-conditioned gearboxes and re-conditioned actuators. We can overhaul your unit or supply an exchange re-conditioned unit.
